Hi,

I'd like for registered users to add events with images from the front end and be able to edit only their own events and images as well. Public can see all events.

I can't tell if RS Events does this out of the box or not, can anybody confirm?

Thanks
Andrew

Using RSEvents! PRO you can let your users add their own events through front end and edit them as well. The best part is that you can control your users and their actions by adding them to groups and set different restrictions for each group.

More about group restrictions here: www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...icle/688-groups.html

You can also try our front end demo here : events.rsjoomla.com/ or backend demo here: events.rsjoomla.com/administrator/

The proper workflow to achieve this (using eg. the default RSEvents User Group) is to turn "Users in this group can edit events" to OFF, if set to yes, they can edit ALL events. Then, create a menu item for the Group with the 'List Type' in the Options tab set to 'User Events'. In that setup, the listing is editable (seems to over-ride the Group setting but you won't find that one in the docs). As far as editing their own images, there's a setting within the JCE Editor to restrict user file and pic uploads to a folder based on their username.
