is there a way to shortened urls or aliases?

for example, i have this rsevents pro page:
corp.ftmsglobal.com/events-list/event/5-...the-month-of-october

i'd like it to be "5-ftmsglobal-malaysia-joins-masiswa-sports-carnival-2016" or even "5-masiswa-sports-carnival-2016" without having to change the title.
