importing current membership list

Hi-
We would like to move our membership which is currently handled by vBulletin to RS Membership. Is there a way to import the list of our active members?
I do agree that an import member feature would be useful, but this would pose some issues for some cases. For example when having recurring memberships. When such a membership is being used, the actual payment processor stores a periodical transaction. The import process will never be able to create such an entry at the payment processor level.
